Your suggestions for how to make the measures more patient-centered and focused on longer term functional outcomes makes a lot of sense. Thank you for your comment. I'm by no means an expert, but I do not think patient-centered metrics are reflected in claims data. Perhaps through Press-Ganey scores or HCAHPS -- but these are more hospital focused. I plan on sharing some thoughts on ways to improve the measurement process in Part Two. Stay tuned!
